Common questions

Questions before you subscribe

What happens to your work, how far you should trust a draft, and what the first afternoon actually looks like.

Security & data

What happens to the information your staff type in.

Is my work used to train AI models?

No. What you type is used to produce your draft and nothing else. It is not used to train models, and it is not shared with anyone else.

Where is my work stored, and for how long?

In the United States. Your drafts and uploaded documents each have a retention window that you control, and content is deleted automatically when it closes.

What happens to my work if I cancel?

Export your saved helpers and draft history before the subscription ends. After it lapses, your content is deleted according to the retention terms.

Accuracy & public accountability

The questions that matter when the output is a public record.

Is the AI writing official city documents?

No. It writes a draft. A staff member reviews, corrects, and approves everything before it is used. The tool is an assistant, never the author of record — and the product says so on every screen where a draft appears.

What if the AI gets a fact wrong?

It can. That is why every draft carries a human-review requirement and why staff are asked to verify facts, names, dates, and figures. Municiprompt is designed to save drafting time, not to remove professional judgment.

Are AI-generated drafts subject to public records requests?

Treat them exactly as you would any other working draft created by staff. Your records retention policy governs; we do not change your obligations. Talk to your city attorney about how drafts fit your existing schedule.

Does using this create a disclosure obligation?

That depends on your state and your own policies — several states now have guidance on disclosing AI assistance in government communications. We recommend confirming with your city attorney, and we can supply documentation of how the tool is used to support that review.

Getting started

What the first month actually looks like.

Do I need any AI training or technical skill?

No. Helpers are written in plain language and describe the task, not the technology. Pick the job you need, describe your situation — by typing or by speaking — and read the draft.

Can I speak my input instead of typing it?

Yes. Every helper accepts dictation, which matters most in the field — describing an incident or a site visit in the moment rather than writing it up later at a desk.

How long before I am actually using it?

Minutes. You subscribe, choose your department, and the whole library for that department is open to you — there is nothing to install and nobody to wait for.

Who do I ask when I get stuck?

A help centre with how-to articles is available to every user, and you can email us. Live training sessions are a city and department add-on rather than something an individual subscription includes.

Pricing & billing

How the plans fit different sizes of organization.

Can I buy this myself, without involving the city?

Yes — the Professional plan is designed exactly for that. Pay by card, no purchase order, nothing for anyone to approve. Many cities start with one member of staff proving it works.

Still need an answer?

Ask the one thing you want to know. No form, no follow-up sequence.
